Dallas College
Over the past 12 years at Dallas College, I’ve built a deep, practical understanding of what it takes to bring web projects from concept to launch—with precision and purpose.

Homepage Redesign
After extensive user research—including interviews, card sorting, and usability testing—we made significant updates to our homepage. Guided by user priorities, we introduced a three-row header: a slim top navbar with quick links for students, employees, the community, online tools, and locations; a secondary row with links to About Us, Contact, Maps, and Search; and a redesigned primary navbar featuring Admissions first and a prominent "Apply Now" button.
The banner now includes a single call to action and a menu of popular sites. We also added a “How Can We Help?” dropdown to assist our most frequent visitors and highlight our programs. Finally, we emphasized our commitment to student support, showcasing abundant resources and easy access through our many locations.
Intranet Redesign
A team of intranet champions was formed to engage with stakeholders on the content that mattered most to their divisions. Employee news, resources, and events were prioritized on the homepage. We organized our intranet into five divisions that included academics, student success, innovation, operations and students. Training was then provided on best practices for creating and maintaining their sites.
App Development
Over the past decade, three vendor partnerships helped shape a series of apps. OOHLALA supported the creation of a successful student engagement app focused on chat and events. Modo Labs enabled the development of an app used effectively for conferences and large events. Most recently, an app launched with Unifyed integrated with internal systems to display personalized content based on user login.
Email Marketing
I learned Salesforce Marketing Cloud for marketing messages if the email was going to students, selected employee groups (faculty or staff) and/or community members. This included importing lists, creating the email, personalizing it, AB testing, sending and monitoring results.
Social Media Videos
I created interview, photos, 360 and cartoon styles of social media videos for our programs that had increased engagement over our regular postings at that time. This included the entire production process including goals, scheduling, locations, questions, equipment, shooting and editing.
